Shelley Ring
A born and bred Torontonian, Shelley started her apprenticeship as a teen and has worked through the ranks of both high-end luxury salons and street-style shops. Shelley brought her creative vision and love of makeup to the world of film and music videos before opening Barberella Salon in 2005. Always a beauty junkie, Shelley remains as curious as ever staying on the hunt for the new while maintaining the highest level of service to her devoted followers.
Steve
Steve is a native of Toronto and a Sassoon-trained cut specialist. He is most in his element doing short to medium styles that showcase his precision technique-based background. He loves working with curls and natural texture. As an avid movie and music buff, he’s always game to chat at length about either subject so don’t be shy about throwing an obscure movie reference at him as inspiration for your cut. He often spends his free time playing drums and taking in live music.
Rowella
Rowella has over 15 years of experience working in some of the coolest downtown salons.
Her skills in barbering are unparalleled, she loves face flattering short pixie cuts and softly blended natural hairstyles for all lengths. Rowella specializes in formulating natural colour shades for her clientele with dimensional tones to compliment natural hair texture.
Emma
Emma is from the West Coast, and moved to Toronto in 2014. She has a BFA from OCADU, where she developed an interest in sculpture and form. Her background in visual art draws strong parallels to hare approach to hair, a dynamic three dimensional form. Emma is interested in creative and experimental cuts, colour and styling. She looks forward to applying her artistic sensibilities to the world of hair at Barberella!
Kaylyn
Kaylyn was raised in small town Northern Ontario. She moved to Toronto in 2017. Her passion for the beauty industry stems from her belief that every person is beautiful, unique, and deserves to feel like their truest and most beautiful self. Kaylyn specializes in vivid colours, creative colour placements, and excels in all types of blonding. She is always excited to experiment and work within the realm of the unexpected. In her down time you can catch her at a concert, playing video games and board games.
